The Jack Bauer era with Kiefer Sutherland comes to an end in 24: Season 8 - The Complete Final Season. The season opens with our heroic American counter-terrorist ready for retirement to spend time with his daughter Kim and her family. As they get ready to travel from New York City to Los Angeles, Jack gets called in to assist the CTU. Credible sources reveal that someone will try to assassinate Kamistan President Hassan to prevent successful peace negotiations with U.S. President Taylor. Now Jack must postpone his retirement and  race against time to uncover a Russian extremist plot and prevent a deadly explosive terrorist threat against New York City.

Episodes:

  1. Day 8: 4:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. - Season Eight unfolds in New York City amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations. On this new day, CTU has been upgraded and is run by MBA-schooled and razor-sharp head honcho Brian Hastings.
  2. Day 8: 5:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. - The death of the informant Jack Bauer was trying to bring in reveals that someone close to President Hassan will try to assassinate him. CTU New York is closing in on a suspect. Jack Bauer needs to delay his departure to Los Angeles, as he is taken to CTU to be debriefed by Chloe O'Brian. Chloe tries to convince Jack that CTU are closing in on the wrong suspect.
  3. Day 8: 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. - While CTU is still interrogating Meredith Reed, Jack follows another lead with Chloe's help. Dana Walsh is struck by a shadow from her past. The involvement of President Hassan's brother Farhad becomes clear, when Davros contacts him.
  4. Day 8: 7:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. - Cole chases after Davros for a final showdown, while Dana's attempts to hide her mysterious past proves to become increasingly difficult. Hassan reveals to CTU a connection between the attempt on his life and the uranium traces found on Davros' clothing. Renee Walker is called in to CTU to assist with the situation, but Jack is shocked to see she is not the same woman she once was.
  5. Day 8: 8:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. - In the Islamic Republic of Kamistan, General Wasim, a leader of the insurgency, answers a call from Farhad, as the news on TV describes a failed assassination attempt on Hassan. Josef attempts to save his younger brother Oleg's life. Upset over the loss of his thumb, Ziya reluctantly takes Renee to Vladimir. However, the leader's men have other ideas, and it is a race against the clock, while to Jack, it appears Renee has a death wish.
  6. Day 8: 9:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. - President Hassan's moves to quash any dissenters in his country start to draw concern with President Taylor and other members of the United Nations. Kevin Wade starts to push Dana to the breaking point, forcing her to help him get into an NYPD evidence lock-up for a huge score. Josef has had success in treating his radiation-poisoned brother Oleg, but the treatment is cut short by their father, who is furious. Renee gets the plan back on track to acquire the uranium, but not without a demand by Vladimir, who also, without Renee's knowledge, has plans for the buyer, Jack.
  7. Day 8: 10:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M. - Jack tries to pull Renee out of the undercover operation with Vladimir, but Renee tries to reassure him that she can get the operation done. President Taylor tries to get answers from President Hassan, who continues his personal war against his opponents including certain members of his own staff. Dana Walsh has to guide her ex-boyfriend and former partner-in-crime Kevin Wade to a $100,000 score in a police warehouse, while Arlo tries to call Chloe's attention to the situation.
  8. Day 8: 11:00 P.M. - 12:00 A.M. - Jack tries to convince Sergei that he is willing to broker a deal with him in exchange for the uranium rods. Dana is being blackmailed by Kevin Wade and his partner for services to rip off more jobs. Hastings has Chloe get a statement from Renee, then has her get a psychological evaluation.
  9. Day 8: 12:00 A.M. - 1:00 A.M. - Farhad Hassan and Josef Bazhaev prepare to complete the uranium transaction, while Sergei Bazhaev tries to prevent it. Rob Weiss suggests to Brian Hastings that Renee Walker should be blamed for the terrorists getting a hold of the weapons. Dana Walsh takes matters into her own hands in order to deal with Kevin Wade, but Cole Ortiz back at CTU gets suspicious.
  10. Day 8: 1:00 A.M. - 2:00 A.M. - Jack prepares to go to Farhad Hassan's last known location to rescue him and stop an impending terrorist attack on New York City. His other endgame is to clear Renee from taking the fall if the operation fails. President Taylor warns President Omar Hassan that if the attack is successful, she will have no choice but to retaliate. Cole and Dana have to figure out how to solve the aftermath of the confrontation with Kevin and Nick.
  11. Day 8: 2:00 A.M. - 3:00 A.M. - Jack works to resolve the bomb situation that has come up with Marcos isolating himself in the pressure chamber, while the terrorists talk Marcos through how to manually arm the bomb. Meanwhile, Cole and Dana arrive back at CTU to face Hastings regarding their absence.
  12. Day 8: 3:00 A.M. - 4:00 A.M. - Jack Bauer and Cole Ortiz track down Tarin Faroush, who has kidnapped Kayla Hassan. Parole Officer Bill Prady arrives at CTU to question Dana Walsh about Kevin Wade's whereabouts. Samir Mehran prepares to demonstrate his power over President Omar Hassan via live footage.
  13. Day 8: 4:00 A.M. - 5:00 A.M. - Hastings has to deal with the aftermath of an EMP that took out all electronic systems of CTU. Jack and Cole are engaged by the terrorists and try to escape a shootout. NSA sends a support team to CTU in order to help restore aerial surveillance and communication, but Chloe seems to have a better idea.
  14. Day 8: 5:00 A.M. - 6:00 A.M. - Jack must lead a security detail to get President Hassan and his family to safety as the threat of a dirty bomb detonation intensifies.
  15. Day 8: 6:00 A.M. - 7:00 A.M. - President Hassan makes a drastic decision that will ultimately affect not only his family's lives, but the world's interests. Jack tries to intercept Tarin Faroush before he can deliver Hassan to the terrorists.
  16. Day 8: 7:00 A.M. - 8:00 A.M. - After her cover is blown, Dana Walsh agrees to give up President Hassan's location in exchange for full immunity, but only if Jack Bauer leads the assault team. Cole Ortiz is forced to face the fact that Dana is the mole. Samir Mehran makes his final plans to execute Hassan live over the internet, but not before torturing him.
  17. Day 8: 8:00 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. - Following Jack and Renee's failure to save Hassan on time, Ethan suggests to President Taylor to bring in disgraced former President Charles Logan to cement the peace agreement with the Russians. Jack and Renee confirm their romantic feelings for each other.
  18. Day 8: 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. - After Renee's death, Jack finds himself searching for information about the Russian mob to lead him to her killer. Logan's talk with the Russians have brought them back to the peace-treaty table. Logan also learns that Jack is talking with one of the Russians and Dana Walsh, who has come to light as an actual higher up in the scheme of things, to get vindication for Renee's death. This jeopardizes Logan's information that he's holding over the Russian's heads to keep them in the talks. Logan convinces the President to keep Jack in custody to control the information Jack has learned. Meanwhile Cloe is put in charge of CTU and finds herself in an internal battle between her job as Head of CTU and helping Jack when he escapes custody while being transported to an Air Force Base.
  19. Day 8: 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. - Jack tries to escape from his "lockdown," while longtime friend, Chloe O'Brian, pursues him. Logan proves that he never runs out of immoral ideas and continues to have a huge impact on the President. Dana desperately seeks help from Chloe after an offer for immunity is rejected.
  20. Day 8: 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. - Jack enlists Cole's help in tracking Dana Walsh down, while the peace talks continue with Dalia Hassan taking her late husband's place.
  21. Day 8: 12:00 P.M. - 1:00 P.M. - Jack makes contact with journalist Meredith Reed, offering her the true story of her lover President Hassan's death. Having detected this communication with CTU's resources, Pillard and the Russians set an ambush -- but thanks to an unforseen ally, Jack turns the tables on those hunting him. To the horror of Meredith Reed, Jack uses drastic measures to make the Russian assassin Pavel reveal who should be the next targets of Jack's vendetta.
  22. Day 8: 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. - Jack's mission for justice makes life difficult for President Taylor as she prepares for the signing of the peace treaty. Meanwhile, Chloe leads CTU on a collision course with Jack; and President Logan meets a formidable foe.
  23. Day 8: 2:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. - In the series finale, President Taylor puts all her concentration into the signing of the peace treaty; and Jack has to once again take matters into his own hands.
  24. Day 8: 3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. - Chloe offers Jack a drastic alternative to his vengeful assassination scheme. As the treaty signing nears, President Taylor agonizes over the means she has used this day to bring about this event. Charles Logan takes one last bitter step against an old opponent.

Oh, I haven't watched 24 in years..about the same time that I got tired of Jack's tough-guy torture. I might have to give the last season a watch, though, just because the first season was such a game-changer for TV. And to see how much Kiefer Sutherland has aged. :P

On December 24, 2006 at 8 o'clock in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the
name of Scott Jackson was found dead. Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of
    his
death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened.
Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he
read and didnt repost a chain letter about a little girl that kills you in your
sleep with no natural cause of death.

This is the bulletin he read:

My name is Jaime Heras. I'm 14 years old. I'm a murderer. I have no face. When you
look at me you'll die immediately. You have 900 seconds to repost this or I will
    visit you tonight.
