Deceitful Democrats shed crocodile tears over jobless benefits for Americans

In the current debate over whether to extend unemployment benefits to millions of Americans, Democrats are asking you to believe their party is the real champion of our native-born workers.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) recently said, “During times of high unemploymentCongress has always been willing to put politics aside and put American families first.”

We take no position on the benefits issue; what troubles us is the disgusting hypocrisy of a Democratic Party whose House members solidly support amnesty for illegal aliens and all 53 Democratic members of the U.S. Senate who voted in June for the amnesty that would legalize and give work permits to nearly 12 million illegal aliens, double annual legal immigration to 2 million people and add 33 million foreign workers to our labor pool in just 10 years.

Phony Democrats from President Obama on down say it's "cruel" to block extension of jobless benefits, but what would they call allowing 7 million illegals to keep their non-farming payroll jobs while 20 million Americans can't find full-time work?

Don't make us laugh. No matter how you slice it, Democrats are no friends of American workers despite all their hand-wringing over unemployment benefits. Their only goal is to secure more Hispanic votes even at the cost of throwing millions of jobless Americans of every race, color and creed to the wolves. When it comes to betrayal, Democrats - and their Republican amnesty allies - rank alongside Judas Iscariot.
