A 29-year-old man was found shot to death in the flower bed in his front yard in Decatur over the weekend, and police are trying to determine who shot the man and why.
So far, they have released few details surrounding the shooting of the man who the DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office has identified as Mr. Jangja Turner. And it was unclear if the man was robbed or if anyone had entered his home.
It was also unclear where in the body the man was shot.
The investigation began around 10:30 p.m. when officers responded to 4423 Princeton Terrace after receiving 911 calls about gunshots fired in the area, according to DeKalb County police.
“The victim was located in the front yard of his residence,” Interim Assistant Chief Mr. James Conroy said. “The victim suffered a gunshot wound and was deceased at the scene.”
