Ever seen a stiletto feeding frenzy? Well that's exactly what you'll witness at Melrose resale haven Decadestwo this Saturday, January 30th during their annual designer shoe blowout.
The good news: Hundreds of pairs of gently worn shoes by designers like Christian Louboutin, Prada, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, and Alaia will be priced at a wallet-friendly $150.
The bad news: this ONE DAY ONLY Holy Grail of a sale draws hordes of resale shoppers in the know.
In fact Racked LA reports that even though doors open at 9 am, recessionistas have been known to line up as early as 5 am in past years. And for all you Imelda Marcus wannabes: note there is a limit of two pairs per person.
Need more incentive to wake up early on a Saturday and battle fashionistas foaming at the mouth? DecadesTwo is teaming up with longtime friend and client Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon to support the relief efforts in Haiti, Garcelle's native homeland. A special area will be set up in the store, where shoes donated by Garcelle and her friends, will be sold for $50 a pair. 100 % of the proceeds from the sale of Garcelle’s shoes will go to Artists for Peace and Justice. And a portion of the proceeds from the overall sale will also go to charity.
Hot shoes for a hot cause? What could be better? Just make sure to pack your protective headgear.
