NBC announced last week that the new Hannibal television series will debut on April 5th. Well the trailer for the show premiered yesterday and I have it for you here. Hannibal stars Mad Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy, and Laurence Fishburne. There are also scheduled appearances by Eddie Izzard, Gillian Anderson, Gina Torres, Lance Henriksen, Molly Shannon, Ellen Greene and Chelan Simmons throughout the show.
“Will Graham is a gifted criminal profiler who is on the hunt for a serial killer with the FBI. Graham’s unique way of thinking gives him the astonishing ability to empathize with anyone – even psychopaths. He seems to know what makes them tick. But when the mind of the twisted killer he’s pursuing is too complicated for even Will to comprehend, he enlists the help of Dr. Lecter, one of the premier psychiatric minds in the country.”
Hannibal is set before the Silence of the The Lambs movie and is slated for a 13 episode first season. The show is created by Bryan Fuller (Dead Like Me) and will premiere on April 5th on the NBC network. Stay tuned for more upcoming coverage.
