The Deborah Lippmann Fall collection is set to be released in stores next month and was introduced online, Monday, October 14. The new collection of matte polishes have an added hint of shimmer. Kate Spade’s nails at New York Fashion Week featured stripes created with matte, crème, and shimmer polish by Deborah Lippmann. The “Silk Collection” was inspired by different silk items; Harem Silks from Bombay, Red Silk Boxers, and Pseudo Silk Kimono are the names of the three new colors. Harem Silks from Bombay is dark purple, Red Silk Boxers is a bright shimmery red, and Pseudo Silk Kimono is a pure white with the added shimmer. These shimmer mattes have been dubbed “matteen.” This collection will be available in stores such as Nordstrom, Ulta, and Sephora.
Earlier this fall the limited edition “Jewel Heist” collection was released. The features six nail polishes, three semi-clear coats with holographic glitter to be used with the other three polishes. A metallic champagne polish infused with tiny specks of red, green, and gold glitter is called “Fake it till You Make it” and is partnered with “Glitter and be Gay,” a sheer top coat that contains larger pieces of glitter. “Laughin to the Bank” is a deep emerald green and is matched with “Shake Your Money Maker” top coat that has a yellow-green sheen with teal and gold glitter. The last set of the collection are “Rolling in the Deep,” a crème dark sapphire polish and “Va Va Voom,” a sheer sapphire base with bright blue and indigo holographic sequins.
