Debi Austin dies: Star of anti-smoking ad passes away

Debi Austin has passed away. Many people know her as the star of anti-smoking ads that used to air on television back in the 90s. According to the LA Times, the star of these ads passed away at the age of 62.

She was known as the "Voicebox." Debi had been battling cancer for awhile before passing away. She fought hard and lived with it for two decades before losing her life.

Debi started smoking at a very young age when she was just a teenager. She then smoked two or three packs a day up until the time that she quit. She had a hole in her throat the size of a half dollar. Debi even used to take drags through the hole in her neck saying it proves it is addictive.

Debi Austin did everything she could to fight against tobacco and help save the lives of others. She even made two new ads in 2011. It is very sad that she lost her life at the age of 62.
