Death Prophet rises from the grave to join the ranks of the current hero list in the Dota 2 beta. Death Prophet is categorized as a Support hero under the current listings, but this intelligence based caster makes an incredible pushing machine with her swarm of ghosts, versatile silence, and fast cooldown nukes.
Krobelus the Death Prophet can function effectively as a solo mid hero or as a sidelane superstar. While Death Prophet is indeed a caster, a popular build on her includes a Vanguard for some additional protection while she scoots around the battlefield flinging out damned spirits at towers and foes.
Death Prophet lends some critical disable to a team with her silence as well, giving her a little more depth than a simple damage dealer. Death Prophet’s spirits heal her as well upon return, creating a difficult threat that needs to be burst down quickly – a serious challenge considering Death Prophet gains some additional movement speed through abilities and will likely be “kiting” opponents around during combat.
