Death of Mississippi Marine in Afghanistan under investigation

The Department of Defense is investigating the death of a Marine who died yesterday while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan.

Lance Cpl. Edward J. Dycus, 22, of Greenville, Mississippi,  died Feb. 1, 2012, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.  

Lcpl. Dycus was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Sincere concolences to the family of Lcpl. Dycus.
