Death Metal Band "Vital Remains" Remain Vital to Upstate Rock Scene

In case you are not a rock fan or you somehow missed it, the death metal band “Vital Remains” is making its way to Rochester tonight. The Rhode Island natives will play an intimate set at the local Montage Music Hall amongst hundreds of chanting and head-banging adorers. Tickets are just $7 and some are still available!

The Vital Controversy

Of course this is inapplicable to their many fans, but there is a longstanding controversy surrounding death metal bands. Due to their notoriously dark and satanic lyrics, many immediately denounce any band that fits into this genre of music as mere blasphemous noise makers. While this band certainly fits the bill in many ways, there is also something to be said for their interesting song arrangements which are abnormally yet intriguingly lengthy, and for their Spanish-style guitar solos (incidentally, this band has a huge Mexican following). So while they do qualify as a “normal” death metal band, they are surely not your average one.

If this tickles your hellish fancy, go grab a couple of those $7 tickets, go down to the music hall, and have a blast! If not, just make a mental note that to you, this metal band is dead on arrival.
