Death: It's a Living, from CNBC

Yesterday, January 31st, CNBC ran an original show entitled, "Death: It's a Living." It was fascinating and provided a statistics-rich vista of the deathcare industry.

We all want to know about the end, don't we?

"Death..." is a one-hour premiere, which focuses on the $17 billion-a-year industry, for which we all will have dealings with at one point or another.

CNBC's Tyler Mathisen began the documentary filming on location at the Aurora Casket Company, which does almost 200 million dollars a year in business sales and has been in business since 1890.

Aurora is a family-owned business and is the largest independent supplier for the deathcare industry. They were recently acquired by Kohlberg & Company, L.L.C., which is a leading U.S. private equity firm which acquires middle market companies (valued from $100 million to $750 million). They are based in Aurora, Indiana.

"Death: It's a Living," could very easily have done the show, in its entirety, with only having focused on the Aurora Casket Company. But, they didn't.

Still, just this portion of the show was enough to keep this viewer ensconced for whatever would follow.
