Death becomes Google Reader

Google announced today that it is ending the era of Google Reader. Google Reader began in 2005 and Google stated today on it's blog that "over the years usage has declined". Google Reader's death will come on July 1, 2013. You are able to export your reader data using Google Takeout. You can then use this file to transfer the data to a new reader service. This news doesn't exactly come as a surprise to most tech enthusiasts, since Google has basically ignored the service over the past few years. There are alternatives out there, such as Feedly, that will give you a similar look and feel of Google Reader.
