Monday evening, January 21, 2013, the Opposing Views website shared some clarification into the criminal past of Deanna Lee Stires -- the 18-year-old missing teenager who was just discovered dead. While it's not yet known as to whether or not she was murdered, knowing about her criminal past creates a new avenue of investigative speculation while creating a victim profile. This new update in the girl's death does add a possible criminal element to the case if there isn't one already.
In October of 2011 Stires was reportedly Charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and "a controlled substance," and prior to that she was arrested and charged with grand theft auto. This is a pretty impressive rap sheet for an 18-year-old girl, but does it have anything to do with her death?
Officials have yet to weigh in with any autopsy results, nor have they expressed any opinion one way or the other about possibilities of foul play. There is plenty of room for speculation, however, especially with her criminal past. Statistically speaking, those who lead high risk lifestyles (criminal behavior of any type) leave themselves vulnerable to becoming victims of violent crimes. If this young woman put herself in danger by the crowd she ran with or the activities she participated in, then it might hold clues as to who might be responsible for her death -- if anyone is.
If Deanna Lee Stires is a frequent drug user, depending on the drug being used, there are also possibilities of suicidal ideals. Narcotics and other hard drugs like crystal meth can lead the user to become depressed. However it should be noted that there is no proof whatsoever that Stires had anything to do with these particular drugs, nor is there any indication that she suffered from any type of depression. Nonetheless, it's healthy to speculate and consider as many theories as possible until a final answer is revealed.
Hopefully the newest updates evolve into more answers in this mysterious death.
