Deandra De Napoli crowned Miss Louisiana State University USA

Deandra De Napoli was crowned Miss Louisiana State University USA on Sunday, according to The Daily Reville.

The crowning results in her fees being paid to the MIss Louisiana USA Pageant.

The state pageant winner will represent Louisiana at the Miss USA Pageant. The winner of the MIss USA competition will represent the United States at the Miss Universe Pageant.

The Miss Universe and MIss USA pageants are owned by Donald Trump and NBC Universal. Both pageants are carried live on the NBC television network.

De Napoli is a native of the Dallas-Arlington, Tex. area, according to her Twitter profile.

She studies public relations and business administration at LSU.

The campus pageant has been sponsored for several years by Delta Zeta.

The state pageant is scheduled for Oct. 24-25 in Lafayette.

The reigning Miss Louisiana is Brittany Guidry.

Three Miss Louisiana USA titleholders have gone on to be crowned MIss USA. They are Miss Louisiana USA 1958 Eurlyne Howell, Miss Louisiana USA 1961 Sharon Brown and Miss Louisiana USA 1996 Ali Landry.

Howell was third runner-up at the Miss Universe Pageant, the highest position ever held by a Miss Louisiana USA.
