Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott aren't broke despite an apparent twisting of words by the media. On Oct. 25, McDermott responded to reports that he and his wife can't afford for him to have a vasectomy (about $1,000). According to Us Weekly (via Yahoo!), Dean says that "things are good" despite Tori's admission to having a spending problem.
"Right now things are going well. I have several exciting projects in the works. Our show "Dean and Tori's Backyard Bash" just re-aired to great ratings, I'll be the new host of "Chopped Canada" and I have my first cookbook coming out -- "The Gourmet Dad," in the spring. Tori's book ("Spelling It Like It Is") just launched this week and things are good," McDermott said.
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott aren't broke by any means but that doesn't mean that they don't have times throughout the year when they might have less of an income stream. As previously reported, Tori recently talked about a "down time" in their income and said that she tends to spend a lot of money shopping and what not. So perhaps their stream of money hasn't been as steady... but they aren't filing for bankruptcy or anything like that.
"Sometimes things are awesome, sometimes they're just not. But it's about how we tackle things as a couple, as a family. And we do a pretty good job of that. Right now we have so many cool things going on -- we're in an uptick," McDermott added.
So Tori and Dean McDermott aren't broke... and Dean says that he can afford to get a vasectomy. Rejoice.
