The magazine spilled the beans on McDermott's fling with another woman, and even includes an interview from the woman herself.
Spelling's husband for the past seven years was promoting his gig as host of "Chopped Canada" in Toronto earlier in December when he invited 28-year-old Emily Goodhand, a woman he met earlier in the day through mutual friends, to his room at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
It was there that they had sex.
"He told me he and Tori had a sexless marriage," said Goodhand, who stayed at his hotel for two nights. "I believed him."
The couple has experienced some rocky times as of late. In addition to complications from Spelling's most recent pregnancy, which has caused her to have emergency surgery, the "Spelling Like it Is" author is nearly broke due to recent financial mistakes and estrangement from her mother.
McDermott, 47, and Spelling, 40, have four children: Liam 6, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 16 months.
