'Deadpool' screams for new artist

Marvel has been changing things up on some of their NOW! titles recently, and today it was announced that the latest change comes to Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan's "Deadpool".

Not surprisingly, multiple titles are getting new artists, and Newsarama reports that Mike Hawthorne ("Hysteria", "Fear Agent") will be relieving Tony Moore of his duties beginning with the second story arc. The information released so far isn't very telling, so it is anyone's guess as to whether Hawthorne will be the new ongoing artist. Moore is a favorite of many fans, and a master of the slapstick comedy that makes "Deadpool" so great, but Hawthorne seems to be a decent choice to take his place.

Marvel has been having problems with John Cassaday meeting deadlines over on "Uncanny Avengers", so this may just be a new rotating schedule to keep books coming out on time. Fans of the "merc with a mouth" were ecstatic when Moore was announced as the artist for the NOW! version of Deadpool, so Hawthorne has some pretty big shoes to fill.
