Deadmau5 added to 2014 Quebec City Summer Festival lineup

Deadmau5 is the latest addition to this year's power packed lineup at the 47th annual Festival d’été de Québec. The multi - Juno Award winning progressive-house artist joins previously announced mega-star headliners like Billy Joel, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Bryan Adams, Soundgarden, Journey and many others.

According to a media release posted May 20 at the festival's official website at Infofestival.com, the internationally renown Toronto emcee will perform on July 9 on the festival's mainstage, located at the historic Plains of Abraham site. Quebec City Summer Fest offers over 300 performances in 10 unique indoor and outdoor venues over the course of 11 days from July 3 - July 11.

Hot on the heels of his performance at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this year, the 5-time Grammy nominee a.k.a Joel Zimmerman, recently revealed plans for his upcoming 7th studio album, titled "While(1<2)," which will be released on June 17. Commenting on the 33-year-old D.J.'s addition, FEQ programming director Louis Bellavance says, "We're especially proud to have a top talent like deadmau5. He brings an electronic spark to our already strong and diversified program. This is going to make a lot of festival fans very happy!"

Having sold out passes every year since 2010, the festival continues to grow more each year with its big name headliners and wide variety of variety of music offerings, which include: rock music, punk, hip-hop, classical music, francophone music, world music and most recently electronic music. Other artists on this year's eclectic roster include: Queens of the Stone Age, Steve Miller Band, Blondie, Snoop Dogg, St. Vincent, Tegan & Sara, Daniel Lanois, The Kills, Local Natives, ASAP Rocky, Cypress Hill, Three Days Grace Reckless, Father John Misty, Young the Giant, Gary Clark Jr., John Mayall, Pretty Reckless, Sam Roberts Band, Serena Ryder, Jake Bugg and others.

Discounted early bird festival passes priced at $68.00 and VIP access passes have sold out. A limited amount of festival passes at $78.00 (taxes and fees included), which give access to all venues and show for all 11 days, are still available.
