Deadline for participating in Sandy Springs Festival

The 28th annual Sandy Springs Festival, a two-day community and arts festival, will be held September 21 and 22, 2013. Heritage Sandy Springs announces the final deadline for applications for Food Vendors and the Business and Civic Expo for the Sandy Springs Festival .All applications must be in by Friday, August 9, 2013.

Business and nonprofits are invited to apply to participate in the Business and Civic Expo. Restaurants, food trucks, and food vendors are invited to apply to participate in the Food Court. Vendor fees begin at $300 for food vendors and business or $200 for nonprofit organizations.

Established in 1984, the Sandy Springs Festival has grown from a small picnic to the largest public event in Sandy Springs, drawing approximately 25,000 attendees. As the primary fundraiser for Heritage Sandy Springs, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community through preserving and promoting the historic and cultural identity of Sandy Springs, the Festival features two days of family-friendly activities, entertainment, and more all in the heart of Sandy Springs. The Festival also presents the Doug Kessler Sandy Springs Lightning 5K/10K race, a juried Artist’s Market, a Children's Park and Teen Territory, the annual Kiwanis Pet Parade, Heritage Education Area, Live Entertainment, and more.

The Sandy Springs Festival was established in 1984 and has grown to be the largest community event in Sandy Springs, bringing arts, great food, entertainment, and fun every year to all ages. A 2-day celebration of community and tradition, the Sandy Springs Festival also serves as the largest fundraiser for Heritage Sandy Springs, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community through the preservation and promotion of the historic and cultural identity of Sandy Springs. Sandy Springs Festival is truly one of the few attractions in the area with “something for everyone.” From a children’s area to an artist’s market, 10K and 5K races to a pet parade, the variety of activities encourages over 25,000 individuals of all ages to attend this acclaimed, award-winning festival year after year.
