The “Deadliest Catch” will be in its tenth season when it airs on April 22. Gone are the days of Captain Phil, but the excitement, danger and crabs are still there giving audiences at home a ring side seat to the world’s “Deadliest Catch.”
According to Variety on March 12, the Discovery Channel is once again ready to bring this reality show from the Bering Sea into the nation’s living rooms. Josh Harris, Captain Phil’s son, will be highlighted this season as he works the Cornelia Marie as his father before him did.
Another second generation seen on this show will be Sig Hansen’s beautiful daughter, Mandy Hansen who will be on the Northwestern with her dad. Sons have followed their father’s into the crab fishing business, but not many daughters. Sig Hansen’s daughter couldn’t get a better mentor for doing this job than her dad.
For those of you who haven’t tuned in for a while, the Discovery Channel is airing a special recap episode on Tuesday, April 15. The “Deadliest Catch” is also bringing back the captain’s chat sessions where you get an inside view of how the season is going from the guys piloting the ships.
Tune in for the new season on The Discovery Channel on April 22, at 8 p.m. ET. to watch “The Bait,” the hour-long show that airs before “Deadliest Catch” featuring the captains. Then “Deadliest Catch” will air at 9 p.m. ET.
