Deadhorse rides into Austin on Saturday, September 21

Saddle up and get on down Farm Road 666, because Texas institution Deadhorse is coming back Austin. This throwdown hoedown will be hosted at the Gypsy Lounge on Saturday, September 21, and it also features local chug merchants The Blood Royale, along the hardcore stylings of Confused and Waarface. DRI band leader Kurt Brecht is also slated to be on hand to perform a few numbers with Dead Horse, though it's unclear if they will be playing Pasadena Napalm Division material.

The Gypsy Lounge is another venue trying to cover the gaping hole left by the departure of Emo's from the Red River district, and their interest in booking metal shows is a worthy cause and should be supported. There are tons of local businesses sponsoring it as well, so it seems like there's a lot riding on it. Thus the math is simple - Deadhorse is always a good time, this venue needs the support, and you were going to go regardless. Glad we got that resolved. See you there!
