“Dead Space 3” is the first game in the series to feature co-op gameplay. This feature actually unlocks a number of additional gameplay features that players using single player mode only would never encounter. This is due to the addition of co-op character John Carver, who can see things Isaac Clarke cannot. One example has Carver finding toy soldiers in a biological facility; Carver would be unable to see these.
Of course, “Dead Space 3” still has the popular single player mode filled with horrors and necromorphs trying to kill you, so those who don’t like playing with others won’t be forced to do so. In fact, some may find that playing the single player campaign is scarier since you have to go up against everything alone.
