Dead Space 3 Awakened DLC launch trailer

A launch trailer for the upcoming Dead Space 3 downloadable content "Awakened" was released by EA earlier today. The trailer is roughly one minute long and is just plain creepy. Check it out embedded below.

Awakened is an epilogue to the events of Dead Space 3. Judging from the new trailer, the Awakened DLC looks a lot more horror-oriented than DS3 and is said to play more like the first two Dead Space games. EA has also already said that hallucinations will play a huge role in Awakened. It will be interesting to see how that factors into the co-op based gameplay of Dead Space 3. Wouldn't it be amazing if Isaac mistakenly saw John Carver as an enemy at some point which led to a brief player-vs-player battle?

Awakened is slated to be released in North America next week on March 12th. It will cost 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99) and be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and Origin for PC.
