Revealed on the official Capcom Unity blog, all four downloadable add-on packs of the "Untold Stories of Los Perdidos" will be included in the PC release of "Dead Rising 3." The DLC content previously released for the original Xbox One game focuses on a different protagonist for each add-on pack and provides access to new weapons and vehicles for players to go crazy with. In addition to free DLC, the PC version of "Dead Rising 3" will now go by the name "Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition." For those who pre-ordered the game when it was first announced, a tweet by Capcom Vancouver confirmed PC users will be upgraded to "Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition."
Currently unconfirmed is if "Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition" will include the later DLC released for the Xbox One version of the game, such as alternative costumes awarded to "Day One" buyers last year. Also up in the air is the recently released "Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha" DLC. The multiplayer-based DLC was announced during Microsoft's E3 2014 press conference and features comical homages to classic Capcom games, such as "Street Fighter" and "Mega Man." As noted by the Capcom Unity blog, "Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition" will take advantage of Steam's key features, such as Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Trading Cards, global leaderboards, and controller support.
The PC version of "Dead Rising 3" is set for a September 3rd release this year, with pre-orders taking 10 percent off its retail price of $49.99. The Xbox One version of the game released last November is being sold for $41.99 at Amazon and Walmart.
