Dead or Alive 5 finally receives update 1.03

A significant update for “Dead or Alive 5” has finally arrived on the Xbox 360 after a month’s delay. Originally update 1.03 was slated for release a week after the January 22 Playstation 3 release, but an issue with stagger escapes prevented the Xbox 360 release until February 26 when it was finally released on the Xbox 360 as 1.03a. The Playstation 3 version also received update 1.04, which is identical to the Xbox 360's update.

Fighters and gamers can escape the cold temperatures on “Zack Island,” a free new stage included with the update based off the tropical locale in “Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball.” New beach-appropriate outfits for female fighters have been made available in three “hotties swimwear” packs. Because of the delay, Team Ninja has discounted the outfit to each set being 240 Microsoft Points (MS Points), or $3, and all-in-one package for 480 MS Points, or $6. “Costume Packs Round 9,” which includes new outfits for the male fighters was also delayed because of the update issue, but is now available and also discounted to 80 MS points, or $1. All the discounts for the downloadable content (DLC) is available until May 31, 2013.

You can view all the DLC on the official "Dead or Alive 5" website and view the full list of updates in patch 1.03a, including move additions, balancing, and tweaks.
