Dead Island: Riptide, the sequel to the Dead Island that came out in 2011, is set to be released on April 23 of this year on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Gamers can expect a lot of things from this game, some similar, some completely different.
Riptide follows our four original heroes after they escaped by helicopter from the island of Banoi, only to find themselves on a military ship where a terrible storm as swept the virus over the crew, forcing them to relive the zombie nightmare again. They will have to escape their supposed safe haven to the island of Palanoi and survive the new terrain.
Players will see the four familiar faces of the original survivors that were playable in the first Dead Island (equipped with new weapons and abilities), joined by a new character by the name of John Morgan. John Morgan is a cook aboard the military vessel where our heroes are deposited and is well schooled in hand-to-hand combat which will hopefully serve himself and his fellow survivors well in their efforts to survive the new attack of the zombie virus.
Developers hope to achieve the same level of excitement as they did with their first release and sweep players into the zombie fever that was previously generated. They can be assured that any zombie fanatic will be drawn towards this game as Dead Island: Riptide is teeming with potential gore and blood shed.
April 23, 2013, the nightmare once again zombie virus once again rages.
