Deep Silver today revealed new gameplay footage for their upcoming zombie game, “Dead Island: Riptide.” The new trailer, released on March 21, not only shows gamers actual gameplay but also goes into the game story. It’s also worthy to mention that the new reveal gives fans their first look at John Morgan, the game’s new playable character, in action.

Picking up after the ending of the first game, “Dead island: Riptide” finds the original four protagonists of the series (now joined by Morgan) who now find themselves shipwrecked on another island and surrounded by zombies once again. Gamers may choose to play as any one of the game’s five playable character classes as they fight their way across new locations and through hordes of the undead in this follow-up to the popular zombie franchise.

Dead Island: Riptide” will release for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC on April 23.
