The De Anza College women’s soccer team defeated Coast Conference South Division rival Cabrillo College 2-0 at Connelly Stadium in Aptos, CA on 9/24/2010. The win was the second victory for the De Anza Lady Dons in the 2010 season to improve their record to 2-4-1.

The Lady Dons dominated much of the first half of the game and tallied the only goal of the half. De Anza had possession of the ball most of the first half, and play mostly occurred at the Cabrillo’s half of the field.

The second half was much more contested with chances from both sides. Cabrillo came out more energized after halftime looking to equalize. De Anza, however, added an insurance goal in the second half while maintaining its shutout of the Seahawks.

The Cabrillo College Lady Seahawks suffered its first conference loss (second overall) after back-to-back conference wins. The Lady Seahawks fell to 2-2-1 for the 2010 season.

The two teams will meet again at the De Anza College campus on 10/29/2010.
