This is the way to “Go Green”. Dr. D.J. Green is a 1987 graduate of Dawson County High School and is setting a great role model for current Red Devils as they look to their futures.
Dr. D.J. Green, MD has been named president of the Tucson, AZ Surgical Society, a professional organization of physician surgeons.
The 43-year-old, board-certified surgeon has practiced medicine in Tucson since August 2011 and is currently practicing Trauma and General Surgery at University Medical Center there.
Dr. Green is the son of Kathy Green Rule of Glendive and Rod Green of San Antonio, TX. He attended Dawson County High School and graduated from Carroll College, then earned his medical degree from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. He completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Arizona Affiliated Hospitals and a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, and spent 10 years on active duty in the US Navy.
His affiliations include: Fellow American College of Surgeons; Association for Surgical Education; and Special Operations Medical Association.
Dr. Green replaces Charles A. Atkinson, MD who now serves as the society’s past president.
