Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz recently expanded his record label, Decaydance Records, rebranding it as DCD2 Records. Along with the expansion, two new artists were signed: Denmark/Copenhagen-based band New Politics and singer LOLO. To celebrate, DCD2 is holding their first ever Hydra Festival, which is being advertised as a rock and roll vacation at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in Mexico.
The trip is all inclusive, including a hotel room, off-site excursions, food (breakfast, lunch, dinner & snacks) & drinks (including alcohol) and access to all of the shows over the course of four days. The first concert is scheduled for the evening of April 15th and the last concert is scheduled for the evening of April 18th (both are subject to change). Fall Out Boy, the festival's headlining act, will perform two full live shows and an intimate acoustic set, as well as a question & answer session and a meet and greet. The four other artists scheduled to attend will also be performing two shows and have their own meet and greets as well. Limited to 2,500 people, the Hydra Festival website labels it as "the ultimate rock and roll getaway".
The lineup for the festival includes most of the bands/artists signed to DCD2, but the ones scheduled (as of now) to perform are: Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Travie McCoy, New Politics and LOLO.
The festival takes place April 15-19, 2015 for four nights in Mexico. Get all of the details on Hydra Fest’s official website and view the trailer for the festival above.
