DC Tattoo Expo returns for fourth year

The DC Tattoo Expo returns this weekend (January 16-19, 2014) to the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA (1700 Jefferson Davis Highway). The expo, presented by Exposed Tattoo & Baller Inc., features over 250 of the world's best tattoo artists. Live tattooing and body piercing will be available throughout the three-day nonstop event.

The DC Tattoo Expo, now in its fourth year, will spotlight local talent like Duffy Fortner (Red Octopus), Fatty (Fatty's Custom Tattoos), Danny Bayron (Black Lotus) and Mark Wright, Sr. (Capitol Tattoo). Also participating will be national artists James Vaughn from North Carolina (Straight A Tattoo), Myke Chambers from Philadelphia (Northern Liberty Tattoo) and DJ Tambe from Las Vegas (Bad Apple).

In attendance will be Big Gus from Tattoo Nightmares (Spike TV), and the stars from the hit television shows Best Ink and Inkmaster.

This year's expo, co-sponsored by DC101, Hot 99.5, the 9:30 Club (and others), will also feature the Funkster 500 tricycle race, 4th Annual Miss DC Pin-Up contest, a tattoo contest, tattoo supplies, clothing and art.

The show is open to the public 12-10 p.m. on Friday, 12-11 p.m. on Saturday, and 12-10 p.m. on Sunday. Children (under 12) are admitted free with a paying adult, and active duty military members receive a discounted admission.
