DC's favorite Gospel Jazzman Robert E. Person releases new single

One of the DC area's most beloved singers, Robert E. Person has just released a new single, "Testify." Written by Ayesha Daniels, the single is available for digital download today, June 10.

With his smooth tone and super-sustaining vocal aptitude, Robert E. Person has become Gospel's favorite male Jazz vocalist, making high-profile appearances across the country, including the famed Blues Alley. His phenomenal vocal control, classical vocal training and love for classic hymns and Contemporary Gospel has placed the singer in a prestigious class of virtuoso artiste' earning him high respect from colleagues and fans.

In 2011, Person's "Soul Sanctuary" garnered the balladeer a number of accolades: The Gospel Blue M.I.C. Achievement Award - Artist of The Year, The Newsome Music Award - Male Vocalist of The Year and The DMV Christian Music Award for Gospel Jazz Artist of the Year. Robert followed his successful year with radio charting hits from "Soul Sanctuary" including “Clap Your Hands” and “Gotta Praise”. Robert also released one of his favorite classic hymns “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”, which boasted an immaculate vocal arrangement and a visually stunning companion music video.

Person is back in the studio this spring working on his new album "Love Divine," slated for a fall release.
