DC releases Superman 75th anniversary animated short

Yesterday (Oct. 15), DC Comics uploaded a short film that was created by Warner Bros. Animation under the creative guidance of Zack Snyder and Bruce Timm.

The short film is an action-packed tribute to Superman's 75th anniversary that follows Superman through the years, from his first appearance on the cover of Action Comics #1 to Henry Cavill's latest portrayal as The Man of Steel. The video also includes a gallery of iconic super-villains that Superman had to triumph over the years: Brainiac, Mxyzptlk, Darkseid, Bizarro, and Doomsday.

Interestingly, the short film did not showcase Lois Lane, Perry White, and Lex Luthor. It felt strange to see a tribute to Superman's 75th anniversary without his equally famous supporting cast. Regardless, it's great to see the possible villains that Zack Snyder is interested in for the next Superman film.
