If you like reggae music, then tune in to “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on March 12 to see SOJA perform. They are a DC-based band that will make their national television debut before they kick off the next leg of their tour.
Their fourth album Strength To Survive was released in January and went to #3 on the iTunes album chart and #1 on the Billboard and iTunes reggae album charts.
SOJA will be performing alongside Dave Matthews Band and Steel Pulse. They will be performing at the 9:30 Club in DC on May 18 and 19. The Roots’ Questlove from “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” will be opening for them on May 19.
The lead singer and guitarist Jacob Hemphill stated that the album was greatly inspired by Bob Marley’s Survival. “That’s the greatest reggae album ever made,” he says.
