DC Comics has announced that following up on the events in its runaway success crossover event, Blackest Night, will be another Green Lantern themed project: Brightest Day.

Brightest Day will be a 26 issue, bi-weekly series starting in April, written by Blackest Night & Green Lantern Scribe, Geoff Johns and Green Lantern Corps writer, Peter Tomasi, with “a number of wonderful artists slated to contribute to the book,” beginning with Fernando Pasarin (The Outsiders, Justice Society of America) on Brightest Day #0, in April. Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps will also carry a Brightest Day banner, so expect at least some level of crossing over between Brightest Day and the core Green Lantern titles.

More details on Brightest Day is expected to be released later today, so keep checking back!
