DC Entertainment brings in new management

Burbank, CA studio DC Entertainment has announced the shift of 5 new senior executive positions within the comic giant. A new co-publishers of DC Comics and a Chief Creative Officer, as well as heads of Sales/Marketing/Business Development and Finance/Administration. Diane Nelson, President, DC Entertainment, made the announcement today.

The appointments came few months after a September 2009 announcement of the new branch of DC Comics, whose main initiative is to unleash the power of the DC Comics library of characters across all media platforms.

Ideally, expectations for the traditional pushes for tv animation series are rumored to come into play for some of DC's top brands, such as Watchmen, to a series of games as a followup to the 2009 smash Batman: Arkham Asylum. Since DC is pushign to all media platforms, it would be refreshing to watch DC Entertainment break into new forms of media such as a mobile animated series designed specifically to watch on the iPhone.

Only time will tell...
