Summer is ending and fall is soon to arrive! Here are some fun dining events to partake in as we transition into the cooler months.
Sushi Sunday School: Starting on September 7th, Masa 14 will be hosting a monthly sushi making class on the first Sunday of each month. The class is $15, or $21 with a sake paring, and runs from 6-9pm. Vegetarians are welcome to participate! Contact the restaurant to make a reservation for the class.
Massaya Wine Dinner: On September 9th, there will be an exciting wine pairing dinner at Zaytinya, showcasing the wines of Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. The six-course dinner starts at 7pm and costs $85, not including tax or tip. Vegetarians will be accommodated! Contact the restaurant for reservations and let them know if you have any dietary restrictions.
4th Annual Midsummer Night’s Dream for Kids: This philanthropic event benefits the DC nonprofit Dreams for Kids, which provides programs for children with disabilities living in DC. Ticket prices vary, but the general admission ticket is currently $45 and comes with hors d’oeuvres and two drink tickets, as well as complimentary admission into the Huxley after the event has concluded. The event will be taking place on September 13th, from 9pm to 1am.
Book Launch Party: DC Central Kitchen will be hosting a launch party on September 18th celebrating the release of a new book written in honor of the organization’s 25th anniversary year, “The Food Fighters: DC Central Kitchen’s First 25 Years on the Front Lines of Hunger and Poverty.” The event will take place at the Liaison Capitol Hill's Rooftop Pool & Bar, and will be from 6-8:30pm. Tickets are $75 per person and will include drinks, small bites, and live music.
Unlimited paella and sangria Mondays: From 5pm to close on Mondays, guests at Jaleo Bethesda can enjoy unlimited paella, and for an additional $15, unlimited sangria. Even more exciting is a paella making class, which is $65 and offered the last Tuesday of every month.
