DC Cupcakes star, Katherine, was pregnant on the two DC Cupcakes episodes that originally aired March 12, 2013. Her mother gave her a computerized baby so she could see what it would be like to be a working mom. Katherine's sister Sophie, who also stars on DC Cupcakes, threw Katherine a yellow rubber duckie shower and made a large floating duck out of cupcakes. Everyone at the shower found out Katherine was having a girl when they bit into cupcakes filled with pink buttercream frosting.
When Sophie and Katherine made a large world globe out of cupcakes for a children's museum, Sophie wanted Katherine to work as hard as she did before she was pregnant. Katherine got Sophie a fake nine months baby bump to strap on so she'd be more understanding.
Surprisingly, Katherine didn't call anyone to tell them she'd gone into labor until after her daughter had been born. She named her beautiful 7 lb. 2 oz. baby girl Isis Sidney Berman.
