As any moviegoer can see, Marvel has sort of cornered the market for superhero movies in the last decade. In the ambitious move to make a shared universe among its properties, Marvel scored a huge hit with The Avengers and subsequent sequels and movies have also performed well. Over at 20th Century Fox and Sony, Marvel properties like X-Men and Spider-Man have also enjoyed many sequels and financial stability.

The question remained when DC comics was going to try their own universe and make a Justice League movie. As Man of Steel and it's upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice begin to create that shared universe, nikkifinke.com seems to claim that a roadmap to Justice League has been planned out, and will be revealed next month at Comic-Con. According to the website, DC's plans include:

May 2016 – Batman v Superman
July 2016 – Shazam (Captain Marvel)
Christmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Christmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2

Whether or not this is the case will be left for the studio to announce, however it does sort of make sense. A Sandman movie has been in the works with Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises, Don Jon) both starring and directing. Even Justice League has been revealed with the news that Zack Snyder will direct and it will shoot back to back with Batman v. Superman. A Wonder Woman movie also seemed likely due to Gal Gadot's (Fast and Furious 6) casting and known involvement in Batman v. Superman.

What is most surprising is the inclusion of an Green Lantern/Flash team up. If it is to happen, will it include Grant Gustin who plays Barry Allen in the new show on the CW this fall? Who will be the new Green Lantern if Ryan Reynolds doesn't come back? Where would that leave the Green Arrow or Stephen Amell in that case?

Either way even if only some of this is true, it's an exciting prospect for comic book fans, especially DC fans. More word will be on the horizon, but for now stay tuned.
