DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s blog is on Blogspot.

DC Social Media Examiner (DCSME): What is your blog about?

DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCCADV): Peace At Home DC complements our website. Readers are not only able to keep up with what is going on organizationally, but are also given an insight to the thoughts and opinions of the DCCADV team.

DCSME: How did you pick the topic for Peace At Home DC?

DCCADV: While our website does an incredible job of providing information and resources on domestic violence, our blog raises questions about this issue and is focused on engagement with the audience. This topic was chosen because ending occurrences of domestic violence is our mission and we would like to employ any forum that will be beneficial for our movement.

DCSME: How is Peace At Home DC different from other blogs that cover the same or similar information?

DCCADV: Our blog is fairly new and we are in the process of building a strong blogging team. We have come across DV blogs run by other DV organizations that have similar formats to our blog. Most blogs, like Peace At Home DC, have a team of bloggers which gives readers different perspectives of work and thought within the organization.

DCSME: What do you like most about blogging?

DCCADV: Blogging not only gives readers insight into DCCADV, but it also provides us an opportunity to see what is important to our supporters. We like that blogging gives us a chance to show our supporters our passion for this work. We also like that we are able to access the topics our audience likes most so we can tailor our services to their needs.

DCSME: How often do you update Peace At Home DC?

DCCADV: We update our blog twice a week.

DCSME: What else would you like to share with readers of your profile?

DCCADV: Please visit our website www.dccadv.org for more information about our organization.
