On Sunday, Feb. 24, Launch Network DC will be hosting a premier health, wellness and beauty event for professional women in Bethesda, Maryland.
The event, to be held at the local non-profit, Kidville, will feature celebrity NFL speaker Willie Williams, XPro Training Consultant and former player for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as top area experts in many wellness fields. Also included will be a broad array of local health, beauty and wellness vendors as well as opportunities to win raffle prizes and receive special vendor discounts.
According to the event planner, you can even leave with a cool swag bag.
Launch Network is a Washington, DC-based organization geared towards professional women whose mission is to provide networking and support-building opportunities in the business community. It was formed by WUSA9 reporter/anchor Monika Samtani with the aim of creating a series of informative events to connect area women.
Says Samtani,
‘We as women are our own best advertisers. We know how to network and create support groups with friends. We’re great multi-taskers. We’re capable of so much in our lives if we just give ourselves the chance.’
Launch Network donates a portion of its ticket sales back to a local charity, which it selects for each function. This Sunday, Launch is collecting donations for KaBoom, a national non-profit dedicated to ‘saving play’ for America’s children for whom it has built over 2,200 playgrounds to date.
