DBFA presents a Meet the Big Kids’ Parents event in Highlandtown (Video)

If you enjoy being a city parent but have questions about the “next phase” of raising children in downtown Baltimore? Check out a parenting event going down in Southeast Baltimore.

What: Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance has invited eight local parents from neighborhoods all over Baltimore city, each with at least one child older than 8, to give you the inside scoop on the challenges and benefits of parenting the school-aged child in our urban environment. Learn how these downtown parents are raising healthy, self-confident children without yards, two–car garages, and shopping malls.

Hugh Bethell will moderate the panel discussion portion of the evening. In addition to being the downtown parent of two school-aged children, Mr. Bethell is DBFA’s education chairperson.

If you want to learn more about our panelists and where each of them hail from across Baltimore City? You can find more information about the parents here. Q&A panel session will begin at 7:15 p.m.

Who: This event is for parents only, no children are allowed.

Where: Abbot Memorial Church, 3426 Bank Street Baltimore, MD 21224

When: Sunday January 27, 2013 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
