The "DayZ" standalone project received another update from lead designer Dean Hall on Friday. The developer shared screenshots of new areas plus details on what is being worked as the team converts the popular "ArmA II" mod into a full-fledged game.
The screenshots show some of the new areas that are being added to the "DayZ" game world of Chenarus. The team is still focusing on fleshing out the character and inventory systems but hopes to move toward the crafting system and other areas soon.
Internal multiplayer testing is still on-going with plans to test the player population out to 150 players and beyond eventually. There is still no word on when Bohemia Interactive will expand testing to include external testers. We wouldn't expect it too soon though as this "DayZ" standalone represents a complete rewrite of the original mod from the server architecture to the gameplay to the graphics.
