Daytona Beach Police say they have made an arrest in the hold-up of a local bank in July. According to a report on the department website, a tip was received by a Daytona Beach officer about the identity of the suspect who robbed the Sun Trust Bank on South Palmetto Avenue on July 30. Police were given the name and address of a man who was said to have been “…flashing money just after the bank was robbed.” Police identified the suspect, and say they presented a photographic lineup to bank personnel, who picked out the suspect from the pictures. Police then arrested 47-year old Roman Chernov of Taylor Avenue in Daytona Beach, charging Chernov with Robbery without a Firearm/Weapon.
