Two men were arrested in Daytona Beach Wednesday after a robbery at an apartment complex. Daytona Beach Police say the men, armed with guns, had hidden under a stairway at an apartment in the 600 block of Jimmy Ann Drive around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon. Then, as a woman was entering her apartment, the men pushed her to the ground and grabbed her purse. The men then fled the scene, but witnesses told police that the men drove off in a blue Lexus. Police located the vehicle and after a short chase, the men abandoned the car in the 100 block of Oakwood Drive, north of Mason Avenue. Police surrounded the area searching for the men, when a woman on Maplewood Drive east of Oakwood reported that two men had forced their way into her home as she was getting out of her car. Daytona Beach Police responded to the home and removed the men from the residence. In a report on the Department website, police say 23-year old Ermanti H. Holmes and 21-year old Ronald Denson III were identified as the men involved in the incident, and were being charged with Armed Robbery. Other charges were pending, according to police, who said they also found that the blue Lexus had been stolen from a car carrier earlier in the day.
