Daytona Beach Police offer cash rewards for information on homicides

The Daytona Beach Police Department is offering $5,000 rewards for information leading to the arrest of parties responsible for two murders in the last months of 2012. The first homicide happened on Nov. 11, 2012 when the body of Dylan Tharp was discovered on the roof of the Peabody Auditorium. Evidence indicated the body had been on the roof overnight and had suffered trauma. The second homicide case occurred on Dec. 1, when Daytona Beach Police were called to Verdell Street and found the body of Rayshard Mitchell lying in the street. Officers discovered that Mitchell had been shot in the chest, and was deceased at the scene.
