Dayton extended their lead with a four run third. Lexi Kimbell reached on a fielding error and scored on an rbi double by Wilson. Presley Bell then delivered a one out rbi single before Hostetler lifted a one strike pitch over the left centerfield wall.

Consecutive fielding miscues and a two run bloop single by Paris Harper cut the Dayton lead in half in the fourth. Harper later scored on a passed ball to pull Summer Creek to within two.

Leading 5-3, Meghan Casillas drew a lead-off walk from Lady Bulldogs starter Mariah Sosa. Two batters later, she raced home on Wilson's second rbi hit of the night. Wilson scored the final run on Hostetler's rbi single.

The Lady Bulldogs scored once in the seventh on Dione Pierre's one out double, a steal of third and a passed ball for a 7-4 final.
