The Dayton Broncos pounded out 11 hits and took advantage of eight Humble errors to post a 14-4 win on Tuesday night in Humble.
A Timothy Wehmeyer rbi single scoring Bradley Sowell from third started the Broncos's scoring. Wehmeyer later scored on a two out single by Blake Schmidt giving Dayton a 2-0 lead.
Bronco starter Kevin Roe got off to a shaky start surrendering back two runs to Humble before settling down to scatter six hits with six strikeouts over five innings of work.
Dayton scored in every at bat against Humble starter Cody Martn. The Broncos plated three runs in the second and four more in the third to build a comfortable 9-3 lead. The offense then added single tallies in the fourth, sixth and seventh to go along with a two run fifth to post the win.
Wehmeyer paced the Broncos with three hits, five rbi's and two runs scored. Wehmeyer also pictched the final two innings allowing a hit hit with three strikeouts.
The Broncos are now 6-1 in games in which they score ten or more runs.
With the win, Dayton improved to 13-3 overall. The Broncos return home to host Porter on Friday night Mar. 22. First pitch is slated for 6p.m. Dayton closes out the week with a Saturday matinee in Mont Belvieu against the Barbers Hill Eagles. Game time is set for noon.
