Another set of nominations were announced on Thursday by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). This time it’s for the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards. “Good Morning America’ showcased some of the selected nominees into its telecast.

Coincidentally “GMA” received two nominations. What sets the Daytime Emmys from its grander counterpart it exclusively honors soap opera dramas, talk shows, court case programs, children's programming, cooking programs, and game shows.

Soap operas dominated with the most nominations, along with the children's program “Sesame Street” at 15, and talk show superstar “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” with a total of nine nods. “The Young and the Restless” received the most at 26, while “The Bold and the Beautiful” garnered 18 nominations. “General Hospital” is still going strong at 51 years has 16 noms.

For the first time in Daytime Emmy history the streaming service Netflix received two noms for its children's series "TurboFAST." Last year Netflix made history with the Primetime Emmys with its nominations for the political series "House of Cards."

The 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be held at the prestigious Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Sunday, June 22. The Daytime Creative Arts Emmys (for behind the scenes and other craft categories) will be held on June 20 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel.
