The nominees for the 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards were announced recently. Among those nominated is NBC soap ‘Days of Our Lives. The soap is nominated in the category of Outstanding Daily Drama Series.

The romance of 'Will' (formerly played by Chandler Massey, now played by Guy Wilson) and 'Sonny' (Freddie Smith) is largely the reason for the ‘DOOL’ nom.

‘DOOL’ Co-Executive Producer Greg Meng shared his feelings on the nomination:

‘We feel honored to be recognized by GLAAD for a storyline that is so important to our writers, is supported by both NBC and Sony, and resonates with many of our fans,’ Meng told Soap Opera Digest.
